Doggie-Dooley waste disposal systems install in the ground to provide quick, easy cleanup of
dog waste.  Works like a home septic system by using environmentally-friendly enzymes and
bacteria to turn do waste into a ground-absorbed liguid.  Simply deposit feces and add water
and digester.  Each unit comes with instructions and a 6-month supply of Digester Powder.
Select a site for these units away from your house, tree roots, the path of your lawn
mower, and an area free of standing water.  Try to select an area with minimum clay content
and check for proper drainage.  To check for proper drainage, add 5 gallons of water after
digging the hole.  If the water drains completely in 48 hrs, the unit should work properly.
The manufacturer recommends using Dooley Waste Terminator (digestor powder) with all
units, especially if dogs are fed a nutrient dense diet such as IAMS and Hill's premium food.
Too much chlorine in your water can stop or slow digestive action.  Leaving a pail of water in
the sun will evaporate the chlorine.  This can take 1-2 hours, or up to an entire day if chlorine
is very high.  Digestive action starts at 40 degrees F and increases as the temperature rises.
When temperatures drop below 40, you may want to discontinue use of system.  When it
warms up, simply re-start the unit as in the beginning (add water, feces, and digester powder).
Selecting the Best-Doogie Dooley for You
Models 2000 & 3000:  Pail- or tank-style units.  2000 is suitable for 1 large or 2 small dogs and is made of plastic with a foot operated
lid.  3000 is better for 2 large or 4 small dogs, and is made of galvanized steel with a foot operated lid.  Installation requires digging a
hole in the ground at least 14" in diameter for 2000 (15" for 3000) and at least 48" deep. Units have built-in overflow devices, allowing
feces to digest within the unit and to drain gradually through an overflow tube.  You must add at least 1 quart to 1 gallon of water daily.
If the water is not added daily, the unit will start to dry out and will need to be "restarted" with water & digester powder.  Does not work
well in heavy clay or loose sand (use leach style for sandy conditions) soils.  These units are approximately 15 1/2 " deep by 13 12 "
diameter.
Models 3500 & 3800:  Leach-bed or pyramid-style units.  Unlike the pail models, pyramid-style Dooleys drain directly into the ground (they
have an open bottom).  They have a step-on lid opener.  Requires digging a 20" by 20" square hole, 14" deep for 3500 and 23" deep for
3800.  Add 5 gallons of water 2X weekly for maintenance.  Does not work well in heavy clay soils (works well in sandy soils).  These units
require some assembly.  Above ground area is an 8" square lid.  The 3500 is approximately 10 1/2" deep by 14" wide.  The 3800 is
approx 24 1/2 " deep by 18 1/4 " wide (expansion kit increases capacity).
